Active Quarter research event to be held at Delapré Abbey
Members of the public are invited to visit Delapré Abbey’s Walled Garden footpaths on 18th October 2024 (between 12.30 pm and 3.00 pm) and share their views at an upcoming research event.

This comes alongside the work that has been taking place to improve pathway accessibility between Delapré Park, Far Cotton, and Brackmills. The aim of these shared paths is to ensure they are suitable for walking, wheeling, cycling, and horse-riding. After the completion of this work, Dr Declan Ryan from the University of Northampton intends to evaluate its impact.
To do this, members of the public are being asked to join in with October’s research event – to help ensure that the evaluation will be asking the right questions, to the right people.
Anybody can participate, and everyone’s view really counts! Join Declan and the team on 18th October (weather dependant) to tell us what you think – and help make a difference to parks, paths, and outdoor spaces in Northampton.
Head to the paths behind the Walled Garden at Delapré Abbey between 12.30 pm and 3.00 pm (shown on the map as a red pin).
Keep an eye out for more Active Quarter news and events afterwards, too. Partner organisations and local people are working hard to help everyone enjoy the great outdoor spaces in our town. And we’re only getting started!
