Cripps Recreation Centre

Trilogy Active operates a number of facilities, including Cripps, offering a wide range of health, fitness and leisure activities.

Cost

There are a number of membership plans. Students can access Cripps for £16.99 a month; Staff of Northampton General Hospital, St Andrews Healthcare, Avon or members of the NGH Retirement Fellowship can benefit from a Cripps-only membership for £15.99 a month; Supergold members can access the leisure centre for free.

Dates and times

Open Monday-Friday from 6.30 am to 9.00pm; and Saturday/Sunday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Parking

Limited free parking is available beneath Cripps Recreation Centre accessed from the Bedford Road.

This car park is operated by Parking Eye and members must input their vehicle registration details using the keypad in the central hub each time they visit the centre to avoid charges. Members can also park in any of the Northampton General Hospital car parks for £0.60 per visit.

Payment must be made at the payment machine inside Cripps Recreation Centre upon exit to benefit from this reduced parking price. Full price will be charged should you use any other payment machine in the hospital grounds.

Please note the car park directly in front of Cripps Recreation Centre (Area J) is available to Trilogy Active members after 3.00 pm Monday-Friday and all day at weekends.

Surfaces

There is a flight of stairs and a short walk from the rear carpark to the centre entrance. The terrain is predominantly concrete paving stones and tarmac. There is level access for those people who park in the front carpark.

Toilets

Male and Female toilets with a disabled access cubicle are available on the ground floor of the centre. Male and Female toilets are also located in each of the changing rooms and can be accessed via a flight of stairs.

Places to rest

A sofa is situated in the central hub of the leisure centre.

Street lighting

The surrounding area, including the path to the rear carpark, is well-lit.
