Tickets are not needed to enter the grounds or shop but access to the Abbey is ticketed. Tickets are priced £8 (with or without gift aid) for adults, and free for under 18s.
The house is open for general admission on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, and Bank Holiday Mondays between 11.00 am – 4.00 pm (last entry 3.00 pm). The Orangery Cafe and public toilets are open from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
Free car parking is available for visitors (as well as over-flow capacity for large events) with priority disabled parking for blue badge holders. Bike racks are provided outside the Common Ground Cafe.
The Walled Garden and external paths around the Abbey are accessible, but the wider parkland includes some uneven surfaces and unofficial pathways that are not available for all.
Public toilets are open from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm, Monday to Sunday. These toilets are located in the Orangery Cafe and 18th Century Courtyard.
Seating is available inside The Orangery Cafe, 18th Century Courtyard, and on the South Lawn.
External lighting is in place for all key routes around the Abbey.
Community groups can't always control where activities take place, so focus on the local environment and we'll share feedback with landowners.
